Apperture are an award winning graphic design, web & design agency, we’re known for our impeccable, modern, super slick graphic design, Web development and web design. Recently we have taken on board a number of new clients who require a whole rebrand for their business, this meaning new logo's, new websites and a total graphic overhaul. We have brought many companies into the new era and given them a whole new fresh look. We offer many packages for our clients to suit their wants and needs, whether it be a business card design, to a complete web and graphic package. We make sure we get to know your company, what you're about and and get to know exactly what you need.

So, whats the process?

1. Enquire

Give us a call! We want to get to know you, our client and your business so we can get a better understanding of what you need your website for. At this stage we may be able to give you a rough estimate of the likely costings of the project and estimate the timescale. Calling us is free, you don’t need to feel pressured into buying a website as your quote is no obligation.

2. meeting

Meeting our clients face to face is something we love to do at Apperture and we think it's incredibly important to get to know who we're going to be working with. Pop into our Liverpool One head office and have a coffee with a slice of cake. This stage we ask you questions about your brand what you want to achieve and where you see yourselves in 6 months time, this is so we can build you the perfect website for exactly what you need.

3. proposal

The proposal, this bit sounds scary but it's really not! We build you a profile and send you a fully detailed profile based on the information you have given us in the previous meeting. The information we gain from the meeting forms the basis of the proposal which will contain tangible objectives, your requirements, what we will do to address them, timescales, all costs involved and any additional information we will need from you such as current domain name and all of the technical jargon. Once you have accepted our proposal we can then start work on your website which brings us on to design.

4. Design

We don't want your website to look like anybody else's, our goal is to create you an identity and completely design you a brand new website from scratch. We don't use templates so what our designers do is meet up with you, grab a piece of paper and take down a sketch of what you we're thinking of. We will go away, mock something up and send you an example of what your website will look like when we finally go live, therefore you can change anything you're not happy with or don't like the look of.  We understand you want to see what your site will look like on different devices i.e iPads, iPhones, Androids and tablets, so we will send you all of the images so you can see how it will look on different devices.

5. Build

We're coming to the final stages of your sites development so this is where our developers sit down with the images you previously approved and put it all into place. This is where the developers put the static images into code and make your website look amazing. Once all of this is done we make sure your site is compatible with all browsers and devices so we carry out extensive checks to make sure everything is perfect and loading properly. Once we have done all of the above and we're 110% happy with what we have built, your site can be launched!

6. launch

We don't like to create your website and throw you business card in the bin, we like to maintain a working - long term relationship helping you with any issues you may face and also update your website and keeping it current, useful and well maintained. After your site has been launched we offer other services to ensure your site is running like a well oiled machine and keeping in excellent condition. We can also advise on and provide SEO services and social media strategies to help you maximise the potential of your new website.

SEO & SEM What they are and how they're different?

Search Engine Optimisation

Search Engine Optimisation

SEO Management

SEO stands for “search engine optimisation.” It is the process of getting traffic from the “free,” “organic,” “editorial” or “natural” search results on search engines.

All major search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo have primary search results, where web pages and other content such as videos or local listings are shown and ranked based on what the search engine considers most relevant to users. Payment isn’t involved, as it is with paid search ads.

Types Of Search Engine Success Factors

There are three major groups covered by Search Engine Land’s Periodic Table Of SEO Success Factors:

  • On-the-page SEO
  • Off-the-page SEO
  • Violations

Within each group are subgroups, as each chapter of this SEO guide will explain. These subgroups contain one or more individual SEO factors with a specific weight or importance.

Violations, while a group unto themselves, are displayed under the group and subgroup to which they’re associated.

SEM For Beginners

SEM: Buying traffic through paid search listings

Originally called “search engine marketing,” the shorter phrase “search marketing” is now often used as the umbrella term over SEO and SEM. The longer phrase “search engine marketing” — or SEM — is now typically used to describe paid search activities.

Google AdWords is by many measures the most popular paid search platform used by search marketers, followed by Bing Ads, which also serves a significant portion of ads on Yahoo.

Beyond that, there are a number of “2nd tier PPC platforms” as well as PPC advertising options on the major social networks.

It can be impossibly frustrating to put a ton of time and money into building your brand and its site, only to realize that you aren’t even ranking on the first page yet…or the first three pages, for that matter.

Unfortunately, while time, great technical knowledge, and some in-depth keyword research will eventually allow you to climb through the search engine results pages (SERPs), good search engine optimisation (SEO) takes time. The good news is, search engine marketing (SEM) search engine marketing can help you skip a few steps and a lot of time.

Most search engines have an ad platform for search engine marketing. The most well-known (and effective) platform to use is Google AdWords. Bing Ads and Yahoo Search Ads are also both SEM platforms that you can use.

Do Keywords Still Matter for SEM?

Keywords are everything for SEM, just as they are for SEO. When you run SEM campaigns, you choose keywords that determine which ads will show up on which searches.

As a result, in-depth keyword research is the key to running a successful search engine marketing campaign. You’ll want to run your campaigns targeting the exact right terms… or you’ll miss your target audience.

Let’s say, for example, that you run a construction business that helps with home repairs after natural disasters and you want to advertise that service. The official term for the service is “fire restoration,” but keyword research may indicate that customers in your area search instead for “fire repair” or “repair fire damage to house.” By not optimising for these two keywords, you’ll lose out on a lot of traffic and potential customers, even if “fire restoration” is technically more correct.
